Dennis Del Favero — Slipstream

Dennis Del Favero
2004 - 2007

DVD series produced by iCinema

When did man finally discover among all the other possible ones, that singular and unique modality that would permit him to inhabit things...he was never meant to inhabit...the indelible, revolutionary, and magnetic force of delirium...where "Either everything is connected, or else nothing is"...our own new urban landscape...a choice between two pathological states: paranoia, that limpid delirium of collective representations, massive blocs and sinister orchestrations; or schizophrenia, the fuzzy delirium of fragmentation, minutiae and disappearance"
Sanford. Kwinter, 1986. ZONE. Urzone: New York

Slipstream is a series of DVD projects (DVD Installations, DVD-ROMS and DVD Videos) set around contemporary endgames, where protagonists are swept into impossible circumstances. Each work tracks the simultaneous precipitation of these circumstances and their subsequent aftermath, shadowing the protagonists in their wake.
